Would your venue like to take a square?

We are looking for venues to join selected 30Squares trails. Choose the trail you are interested in, tell us about your venue, and let us know why your business would make a great stop for players.

Complete the form below and we’ll review your venue for the selected trail. Only 30 venue squares are available on each trail.

Start typing any part of the trail name, for example harbour or Scotland. When you select a trail, the square price will be shown before you submit your interest.
Selected trail square price £0.00 + VAT
  • Your venue gets one square on the selected trail if accepted.
  • Your square runs for one year. When renewal is due, your venue gets first refusal before the square is offered elsewhere.
  • This is an annual price. The trail is planned to start on the selected trail start date.
  • You can choose a spot inside your venue, or use your A3 poster to send players to a nearby clue spot. Players still need to visit your venue first to get the clue.

Registering your interest does not request payment and does not commit you to taking a square. If your venue is accepted for the selected trail, we will send you a separate square claim link with full details and payment options. You are under no obligation to proceed and can decide later if the trail is right for your venue.

How it works for venues

Once your venue is accepted for a trail, you’ll be sent a square claim link. You can choose a spot inside your venue, or you can choose a nearby spot that sends people to your venue first — for example, your A3 poster could give a clue that points players to a bus shelter, harbour feature, statue, sign or landmark close by.

See exactly how to claim your venue square

If your venue is accepted and you receive a signup link, this is the process. Pick your square spot, use the What3Words app to record the 3 words, take 2 photos, then complete the form and payment.

  • 1 Pick your square spot This can be inside your venue, or it can be a nearby outdoor spot connected to your clue. For example, players might visit your venue first, read your A3 poster, then walk to a bus shelter, harbour sign, statue or landmark across the road to find the answer.
  • 2 Open the What3Words app and wait a few seconds Stand on the exact answer spot and give your GPS around 20 to 30 seconds to settle, then make a note of the 3 words shown.
  • 3 Take a photo of the answer spot Take a clear photo of the place players need to find. This could be inside your venue or at the nearby location used for your clue.
  • 4 Take a wider context photo Take a second wider photo to help players recognise the area around the answer spot.
  • 5 Complete the signup form and payment Use your claim link to enter your details, upload the photos, add your What3Words answer, and pay to secure your square.
